Buddy’s best friend and fellow Ham Radio operator was John Huntoon.
They made regular trips to “Cow Pasture Hill” to test radio equipment. Buddy designed a portable receiver and John submitted an article to “Radio” Magazine, to report on the development and testing of this receiver.
This is a copy of an article written by Buddy for Radio magazine, published in April 1938.
Buddy submitted another piece to Radio for their “Yarn of the month” which he described as “fiction” in his letters. He was disappointed that they didn’t pay as much for this type of article as they did for technical pieces.
